This will generate constant growth and customer service progression through the correct management of company resources, building empowered and accountable teams with individual and collective accountabilities.



Our new 25,000 sq. ft. service centre in Buckingham is a brand-new venture for NGC Logistics and enables a range of solutions including storage, parcel picking, repacking and last delivery mile throughout the UK and overseas. Pallet delivery and collection services are readily available for the surrounding areas and is our primary daily operation at the present time in conjunction with Palletforce.

The new day time Class 1 C&E driver is to support our growth in the new Service Centre. As a front-line member of our Linehaul & Distribution team you’ll be making bulk collections/ deliveries to some of our biggest clients. You’ll need a flexible outlook to support the operation as we grow, a friendly personality and smart appearance and the desire to deliver excellent customer service with a can-do attitude. You should have 1 years’ experience and preferably experience with a double deck trailer.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a hunger for growing this centre of operations to develop a range of different solutions for the customer.


Main Responsibilities (in no particular order)

  • Daily / Duty vehicle compliance checks in line with regulations
  • Reporting vehicle defects and completing relevant documentation
  • Support the team with loading vehicles as required
  • Complete deliveries to large customers (predominately bulk deliveries) on a C&D route
  • Complete collections from large customers on a C&D route
  • Complete full load line-haul jobs as required
  • Support the team in unloading vehicle at the depot
  • Ensure 100% compliance to Proof of Delivery (POD) paperwork procedures
  • Ensure 100% compliance using device for E-signatures
  • Report any on road issues to the Logistic Supervisor(s) to enable swift resolution
  • Actively seek out growth opportunities as the eyes and ears of NGC out on the road
  • Adherence to all vehicle compliance & Health and Safety requirements in terms of vehicle loads
  • Adherence to all driver working hours & regulations
  • Aim to develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers, local authorities and other outside bodies and organisations to promote the Company and develop opportunities for business growth
  • Respect the confidential nature of information which may be made available to you for you to carry out your duties
  • Comply with corporate and company guidelines
  • Comply with Competition Act legislation
